Cas Designs

I design and make jewellery from new sterling silver & copper wire & sheet. Occasionally, when I come accross it, I also use rescued copper and brass wire & sheet.
Most of the jewellery is made using a textile looking technique called Viking Knit. Some is made using a weaving technique. All the wire work and hand forging is by me personally, unless otherwise noted on individual pieces. Some are embellished with glass beads, Swarovski crystal beads, hand made lampwork beads or semi precious gemstones.
I have recently also begun making bags and pouches from my quilting fabric stash, rescued fabrics (otherwise destined for landfill because it wasn't wanted), and purchased clearance fabrics.
From time to time, there may also be hand knits/crochet items and embroidered pieces as well.

 Southall-Croymans Genealogy

Following my Australian grandmother's interest in family history, I'm honouring her memory by documenting and tracing my (and her) family history. No living relatives are shown (not intentionally, at least. If you find one that is, please let me know, so I can remove them).
The family lines trace
Southall from Wickepin in Western Australia, back to Ballarat in Victoria, their point of arrival in 1857, then to the Staffordshire & Worcestershire region of England.
Scudds from Salisbury in South Australia, their point of arrival in Australia in 1850, back to Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire in England.
Croymans & van den Broek from Maastricht, Limburg, Netherlands
